Timothy Knapman has written the words for songs and plays and picture books. He was born in London and always wanted to be a writer. He likes jokes, daydreaming and curry and has a loud voice, a big nose and a laugh that makes people want to leave the country. His hobbies include dragon spotting and swashbuckling.
Tim's brand new book, Time Now to Dream, is illustrated by the legendary Helen Oxenbury, whose work is loved and treasured by children all over the world. Alice and Jack hear a mysterious noise coming from the forest. Jack is worried that it might be the wicked wolf, but Alice knows they must be brave, so into the forest they go...
The book was chosen as the Times Children's Book of the Week
"Atmospheric, magical, this fairytale story will enchant readers."
Tim will also be talking about two of his Dinosaur books. Do dinosaurs cause havoc wherever they go? Is it true that only children can see their antics? When they crash into a boy’s school the teachers shout. "Who has squashed our bookshelf?" "Someone's bitten the board in two! There are claw marks on the wall!" Is your school like this? Can one little boy bring calm to the school and in the supermarket?
Come along and join in the fun!
